Deposits and Payments
In order to hold a baby hedgehog, we must receive a deposit of $75 within 5 days or your hold will be canceled and the hedgehog will be offered to the next in line. This is a non refundable deposit. If you change your mind, the deposit will not be refunded. Please only reserve a hedgehog if you are sure that it is the right choice for you. If you can not pick up your hedgehog at weaning age, we are willing to hold on to it as long as he or she is paid in full. Failure to pay for your hedgehog within 1 week of weaning will forfeit your deposit and the hedgehog will be re sold. Communication is key! I am very easy to work with.
For your convenience, we accept paypal, money orders and cash for your deposit. I can no longer accept personal checks. Cash is expected at pickup.
Health
We guarantee that all our hedgehogs, to the best of our knowledge, are free from any health problems. All baby hedgehogs are guaranteed to be free from congenital problems until age 12 months. If a hedgehog dies before the age of 12 months, we will replace the animal at no charge if given a necropsy report from a licensed veterinarian stating the nature of the problem was due to heredity or present at birth.
We do not guarantee health on rescues that we adopt out as we do not know anything about their health or lineage. They have been checked by a vet and are very healthy!
Pickup and Shipping
I do offer shipping to legal states only. The only way to ship a hedgehog is by airlines. This is not cheap and costs between $200 and $250. This is in addition to the cost of the hedgehog.
We will notify you when your hedgehog has weaned and is ready to be picked up. We will make arangements then for you to pick up your baby. If pickup can not be made within a 7 day period, I will require full payment to hold your hedgehog. At this time, I am unable to do any driving to meet you. Gas prices are just way to high!
